    There is size limitation for MMS. You can follow below steps to check the limitation. 
    Open “Messaging” app.
    Touch “Menu” icon  a_68
    Touch “Settings”. 
    You can find such information under “Maximum message size” 
    You can attach any attachment within this size according to the following steps:
    Touch “Messaging” icon to open it
    Touch  to create a new message
    Touch attach icon  in the top of message, then a list of options appear
    Touch to select what you want to attach in the new message.

    Your phone uses sounds and vibrations to note you for some news, including ringtones, notifications, alarms and navigation feedback. You can customize any of these sounds, as well as control their volumes.
    a.Change default ringtone for incoming calls
    1Touch “Settings” icon from home screen or under main menu.
    2Touch “Audio profiles” under “DEVICE”.
    You will see four types of Predefined profiles, General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor.
    3Touch  beside any of the profiles to get further settings
    *you cannot select ringtone for Silent, Meeting and Outdoor mode.
    4Touch “Voice call ringtone”, you will see a list of ringtones
    5Touch a ringtone to select and hear it.
    6Touch “OK” to confirm your final selection.
     
    b. Change volume for incoming calls
    1Touch “Settings” icon from home screen or under main menu.

    You can follow below 2 ways to delete a message.
    Way1:
    Open a message you want to delete.
    Touch and hold until a list of options pop up
    Touch “Delete” in the list
    Touch “OK” in the warning window

    You can touch Menu icon   a_68 (the menu icon varies with different phones) in the bottom right corner and select a message which you want to delete -> press100_1 in the bottom right corner -> then press “Delete” to confirm. 
    You can follow below steps to delete a conversation.
    Touch to open the “Messaging” app, you will see all the conversation list
    Touch and hold a conversation that you want to delete until a trash can icon appears in the bottom of screen.
    If you want to delete more conversations, you can touch them to choose
    Touch the trash can icon  100_1 in the bottom to delete all checked conversations.
    Note: To delete all conversations, you can touch Menu icon a_68 (the menu icon varies with different phones) in the bottom right corner and then choose “Delete all threads”.

    For ONE TOUCH IDOL sing SIM phone, it does support SD card.
    But for ONE TOUCH IDOL dual SIM phone, it does NOT support SD card.

    There are several ways to add new contacts.
    Way1: Add new contacts from “People” app 
    Please touch “People” -> touchh_40 -> Choose the place you want to store the contact to (SIM1 /SIM2/ Phone) -> Enter the number and contact name-> Touch icon v_7in the left top of screen to save.

    Way 2: Add new contacts from “Phone” app 
    Please touch “Phone” app -> Type the number in the dialer -> Touch menu icon a_68-> “Add to contacts”-> Touch “CREAT NEW CONTACT” in the bottom -> Choose the place you want to store the contact to ( SIM1/SIM2/Phone) -> Enter the name and related information -> Touch iconv_7 in the left top of screen to save.

    1 Touch and hold a network in the list of Wi-Fi networks you’ve added
    2 Touch “Modify network” in the dialog that opens
    3 Select “Show advanced options”
    4 If the network has no proxy settings, touch “None” under “Proxy Settings”, then touch “Manual” in the menu
    5 Type the proxy settings supplied by your network administrator. 
    6 Finally, touch “Save”
    Note: all above steps only change the Wi-Fi setting. To change the proxy setting for others, you should modify them individually.

    You can follow below steps to work with advanced Wi-Fi settings.
    1 Touch “Settings” icon from home screen or under main menu
    2 Switch “Wi-Fi” to “On” position under “Wireless & Networks”
    3 Touch “Wi-Fi”, the device will scan for available networks and display the names.
    4 Touch Menu icon and choose “Advanced”, a menu with four options open 

    Network notification: by default, when Wi-Fi is on, it will notify you when an open network is available in the notifications bar. Uncheck this option to turn off notifications.

    Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: to conserve mobile data usage, your device stays connected to Wi-Fi when the screen goes to sleep. You can touch to change the default behavior.

    Data usage controls let you monitor total usage by network type and application, and then set limits if needed.
    You can follow below steps to check and set Data usage.
    1 Touch “Settings” icon from home screen or under main menu

    3 Then you can check the data usage status for different SIM card by taping the relevant SIM card tab.
    You can drag the white bar to change the period, and touch “Set mobile data limit” to set the limitation. You can also drag down to check the usage per applications.

    Please enter into main menu by pressing i_22  key at home screen ->“Phone j_23 ” -> press e_33  key -> “Settings”-> select “Voice call” -> “Call forwarding” -> Select the forwarding type which you want -> Input the phone number which you want to forward to and enable it.|

    1? Please go to “Menu” -> “Settings” -> “WIRELESS & NETWORKS” -> “More”;
    2 Select “Mobile networks” -> “Access Point Names” -> you can select a corresponding APN or presse_33 -> “New APN”;


    3. Please input the data according to local network parameters.

    4. After the above steps are done, please go to “Menu” -> “Settings” -> “WIRELESS & NETWORKS” -> “More” -> “Mobile networks” ->activate “Data enabled”.

    1. Please go to menu -> “Settings” -> “Wireless & Networks” -> “More”;
    2. Select “Mobile networks” -> “Access Point Names” -> Select the SIM card -> select a corresponding APN by marking the dot at the right side of the APN’s name; 

    Or you can press e_33 at “APNs” list interface and select “New APN” to add a new APN, then input the data according to local network parameters.

    You can also press the APN’s name to enter APN editing interface; after you finish editing, press e_33 and select “Save” to save your editing.

    3. After the above steps are done, please go to menu -> “Settings”-> “Mobile networks” >“Data connection” -> select the SIM card you want to use for data connection; then you can access Internet.

    Or you can enable “Data connection” by going to “Settings” -> “Data usage” -> select the SIM card tab you want to use -> turn on “Mobile data”;
     

     
  • Q23 How can I select SIM 1 or SIM 2 to make voice call, messaging and data connection? (for dual SIM phone)

    There are two methods to select SIM 1 or SIM 2 to make voice call, SMS and data connection.
    Method 1: Permanent Setting
    Please press “Menu” key at home screen ->“Settings” -> “SIM management” -> “Default SIM” -> Select “Voice call/Video call/Messaging/Data connection” respectively -> select the SIM card you want. 


    Method 2: Temporary Setting
    Temporary setting is only applicable for voice call and messaging.
    For voice call, please enter the designed number from the keyboard directly -> press and select the SIM card you want to dial the voice call.

    For messaging, please press to select SIM1 or SIM2 for sending after the message compilation is finished.

    When you select the “People” d_41 icon to check the contacts, you can distinguish the contacts in different SIM card by the different SIM card icon that displayed beside the contacts.

    If you place a widget onto a icon or shortcut position of phone screen, they will automatically shift to other place to make room for your widget.

    2. You can also set wallpaper by accessing menu-> “Settings” -> “Display” -> “Wallpaper”.

    3. You can also set wallpaper by pressing menu key at the home page à “Wall paper”.

    You can organize your applications with folders. Please create a new folder on your Home screen by dragging one application icon over another one, then two icons will be combined and a folder will be created. You can drag more applications to the new folder.

    You can rename the folder by touching it to open, and find “Folder” at the left top of the pop-up menu. Please touch it to rename.

    Home screens in Android 4.2 are designed to be content-rich and customizable. You can embed live application content directly through interactive widgets. Widgets let users check email, flip through a calendar, play music, check social streams, and more.

    a.       To hide applications from the home screen, please follow below steps.

    Please press the application icon on home screen for about 2 seconds, the icon will then become bigger and icon will appear at top of home screen. The application will be hide from the home screen if you drag the application icon to the   icon.

    b.      To delete widgets from the home screen, please follow below steps.

    Please press the widget icon on home screen for about 2 seconds, the icon will then become bigger and a trash can icon will appear at top of home screen. The widget will be deleted from the home screen if you drag the widget icon to the trash can.

     

     

  • Q37 How can I set screen lock ?

    In order to protect your personal information, you can adjust your phone’s lock settings by pressing  “Tools” -> “Settings” -> “Security” -> “Set up screen lock” -> Touch the type of lock you would like to use.

    After you set a lock, a lock screen displays whenever your screen is waken up, requesting pattern, PIN, or other specified key.

    Here is a sample for pattern lock setting.

    Take pattern for example.

    Draw a pattern as you like, and then touch “Confirm” to finish the setting. 

     

    Notes:

    • Screen lock options are listed in the approximate order of the strength of their security, starting with “None” and “Slide”, which provide no security.
    • Face Unlock and Pattern provide minimal security, although they can be more convenient than other patterns.

    If you have a similar issue please upgrade the device by FOTA

    Go to settings -> About phone -> System Updates and press Check for Update.

    An update will appear, please download it and when finished, press install
